There are six official eating disorders, the ones that doctors can diagnose, plus three unofficial eating disorders. While most people are familiar with anorexia, bulimia and binge eating disorder, I want to go over the ones we don’t talk about, the “hidden” eating disorders.

The Surprising Link Between ADHD and Binge Eating
If you have ADHD, you’re almost six times more likely to develop binge eating disorder. Girls are 3.6 times more likely to have an eating disorder if they also have ADHD. And 20% of children with ADHD also develop eating disorders. I know because I work with many individuals who come to me saying they’re binging uncontrollably and they’re also navigating what it means to have ADHD. And they can’t find the right help!
